Parados (original title ‘There is a Noise’) was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.
Using a mixture of first person plural, and more traditional dialogue, the play focuses on women in war - those who choose to fight, those who stick together, those who are torn apart, and those who struggle with peace. It also explores the effects of colonial and imperial structures of occupation under the auspices of ‘peace keeping’ from a female viewpoint.
